Shadow wearing his vest! ^_^

Please don't leave comments about how this is "animal abuse". I've gotten enough of those comments. I knew what I was doing when letting Shadow wear this vest.... If he didn't want to wear it, this video would be nonexistent. He's fine wearing the vest. It didn't harm him in any way. Also, he was 7 months old when I took this video (and I was pretty young as well, hence the bad camera movements), so it fit him well enough to be loose and comfortable. This video was made for people to see that rats are adorable and amusing pets. I hope everyone find something they like about it.

We put a rat-sized vest on Shadow and got him walking around wearing it. :) To answer several questions I've been getting about where I got the vest, it was from a Pinocchio plushie that someone tore up at band camp a few years ago. XD I picked up the vest and figured that it could be useful in some way. :) For people who want a vest like this, make sure you're getting one that will absolutely fit your rat and still be a little loose so it won't restrict their movement and/or breathing. Please be kind when handling pets. :)

I disagree... Before you judge someone, please get to know that person. Just so you know, I'm shy and lack confidence; however, if I find a statement I strongly disagree with, I will stand up, especially if someone is not considering the impact words can have on people. Rudeness is my pet peeve (speaking of rudeness, please refrain from using profane language on my videos)....

That's just an excuse of yours not to take animal problems seriously.

Though to be fair, it is important to discern between the proper treatment of pets, food animals and wild animals; to call the acts depicted in this video an act of abuse would only be valid if a wild rat was involved, not this pet rat.

I define animal abuse as in an action against the animals will (in this case pet rat), something that hurts the animal and in this case there’s no such thing as animal abuse. If Shadow thought wearing the west was painful, he wouldn’t be running around AND for the notice did you see how catsandrats95 immediately took off the west when Shadow felt uncomfortable?? An animal abuser wouldn’t do that, for all you haters out there this person is a real animal LOVER.

This is not animal abuse. It's actually quite good for them. Sometimes rats need operations and vets recommend putting a sock with holes in it on them to cover up stitched areas. This is just getting them used to that.. And it looks pretty cute too, if he was bothered about it he would of ripped it off sooner..
