Simple tune on the piano!!! Gotta love it

One of my favorite 80's TV show themes, Mike Post is the best! I remember growing up with Hill Strret Blues, being raised by police officetrs, then becoming one myself! "Let's Be Careful Out There!"

This was when I was born. Good...because I may become a police officer if my DJ career flops. So hearing this, it seems appropriate at this time to say "Let's Be Careful Out There."

SON-OF-GUN; JUST MADE IT!!! In 1980 "Theme from Hill Street Blues" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Top 10, it also stayed in the Top 100 for nearly a half a year (22 weeks}...
This record won the 1981 Grammy for Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or a Television Series...

Larry Carlton adds his signature emotional guitar work to an already moody song, andthsi is what you get,,, Grammies for him and Mike post! Life is good!

@Kttx0283 LOLOL! Greatest comment! Thanks!

One of the best tv show songs ever. It's so gentle and soothing...and yet it's the theme song to a gritty police drama. But the music fits so well. The show had a lot of depth and so does its theme song.

It took a few listens elsewhere to find this BEST version-- best mix and AWESOME Larry Carlton guitar, in similar top quality to his Steely Dan work (e.g., Kid Charlemagne, Won't Take Me Alive)

Lord help Hollywood if someone comes up with a remake of Hill Street Blues.
If you agree, raise your hand.
