Out of 74 years of it's existence, 35 years (less than half) it was a political enemy of ideological war, not actual battle. Russia was founded in 861AD and remain as such for 1056 years. Soviet Union represents 6% of Russian history. A 2 term US president represents 4% of US history, just to put it in perspective.
