My pug dog ET in loving memory

ET is very sick due to Pyometra infections which later ventured on into her lungs. I was told these bacteria is very aggressive and will cripple your dog and bring it to a crawl. The infections will affect the kidney. It gave her high white blood cells count reading, liver has high level of toxic enzyme and kidney contains high urea level.She has fluid in the lungs which is a secondary infection and after administering Ventolin, she's breathing really hard. The cough syrup is purportedly help to open up her bronchial tract to enable her to breathe easily. However, she has thick saliva and mucous in her throat which makes it difficult for her to swallow food. I had to feed her with my hand which is about a handful and she would not take in anymore. I suspect the pain is so excruciating that it makes it difficult to walk. So she sits down alot which rendered her hind legs really weak and develop muscle atrophy in adjacent areas. Due to the lack of appetite, she became skin to bones. The vet is monitoring her condition and since the ulcer in her tongue has gotten from bad to worse, swollen purplish blue black tongue, it's not looking good and if prolonged further it will drop off which means the kidney has deteriorated and it's time to put her down. ET you're the last one standing. Thank you for keeping me company when I moved into my new house and now it's time for you to say goodbye. It breaks my heart and I wish you don't go. It took me a while to come to terms with this and it's all part of living because living things die if not today then tomorrow. Dogs live from day to day, they do not think about death like humans do. Putting a dog to sleep is having an overdose of anaesthetic, it's painless. They will go to sleep peacefully and in a dignified manner jumping over the rainbow bridge and be free. Take care my little friend. Thanks for being such a wonderful dog. You have never given me any problems all these years you're with us. I love you very much.

so sorry for your loss. we have pugs too and it is never easy to say that last goodbye to any pet, whether it be cat or dog. you have a very sweet puggy. pugs know when they are loved. they love us right back.
