Wouldn't it have been easier to use a carpet knife or hooked blade? I trim these palms often & use my carpet knife to cut horizontally/crosscut the leaf stalk fibers. It's pretty easy if your good with the knife.
Or, does anyone know where you can buy one of these? Or, if you have any suggestions on an african of other tropical drum that would sound like a Pahu, please let me know.
