From the perspective of astronaut Andre Kuipers' at 400 kilometres above the Earth, our planet is both beautiful and fragile. All life is contained in that thin and precious layer of atmosphere.
As a WWF ambassador Andre joins us in launching the 2012 Living Planet Report that looks at the state of our beautiful and fragile living planet.

Create shitload of seawater cleaners on the coast of western Sahara.
Create enough solar panels to feed the cleaners electricity needs.
Use water from cleaners to create forest and food fields.
??????
= Profit.

@MissingTrillions, SpaceX uses RP-1, it's the almost the same fuel as jet aircrafts use. The rocket carries its own oxygen, so, unlike jets there's very little unburned fuel . Other rockets in are oxygen-hydrogen powered have a by product of water. Most of the pollution is not in rocket flight, but in earth-side manufacturing of parts. Unless you are living off the land, you are using goods made with oil, coal and natural gas. That said, I totally agree with you about the war machine.

Not that the global war machine is sustainable or poisoning the planet. And those rockets that propel you into space, I suppose they're not poisonous either.
Why not demolish Lockeed Martin, Raytheon, Nothrop Grumman and all those wonderful companies which help poison the world?
No? That would be real change and we can't have that now can we.
Remember how many animals are poisoned by those rockets getting you in space
Oh, and those DU bunker busters - what a charm
Take on the war machine
