I agree with MikesBikes… $20,000 is a ridiculous prize! How much money does the oil industry make? Surely tens X !! The oil industry should absolutely peak at the solutions bright people like John come up with and reward the ideas accordingly!!

Hey John, congratulations. Can you help solve Adria Brown's problem? She has a simple workable solution for the BP gulf oil spill cleanup; it uses entire dried corn cobs. A video on my channel demonstrates her patented oil spill recovery method. How can we get leaders of BP or the US Government to hire Adria and get this mess cleanep up?

The solution he's talking about in this video was for another oil spill years ago in alaska. It's not about the current BP oil spill.

Recently Innocentive reached out and offered some 900 solutions to some of the oil cleanup tech (better oil skimmers, etc) that BP requested. But then BP blew them off and said they didn't want to hear it.

    John,

Great and you deserve the award...pity BP is not listening or even exploring all techniques for oil capture and not just dumping 15,000 gallons perday of Corexit dispersant and Methanol into the leaking top oil coming out ..... "leave as oil it floats,"as per Tony Hayward of BP said about the leak"....well with dispersant it is now hidden.

John got any other ideas for oil clean-up?

It is not clear what and how he will stop the oil spill. He says he is a solver, but he has to be more specific, instead of being proud to be a solver...
