  • Perhaps it will. The line is protected and reserved for future restoration as far as Fakenham. I think that the first stage, to Ryburgh is very likely as Tom Cooke owns most of the land and is, luckily for the locals, as enlightened as his Grandfather who supported the building in the first place.

  • Fascinating to hear about this. I travelled on this line as a child until it closed, first by steam, then diesel train, to visit family at Wells. County School to Walsingham is the only missing section, since preserved or miniature railways occupy the rest. I think Ryburgh and Fakenham East stations are the only ones that have been built over. If only it could reopen one day.
