God of War 2 - Spartan Warrior [bad quality]

Remember the Spartan warrior you fight right before Kraken? You can also catch a brief glimpse of him fighting two Minotaurs and an Undead Legionnaire. You even see the bloody aftermath of the fight right after you open the Boreas Door.

I wondered if I could catch him and avoid killing the hapless chap. But looks like they're fighting in a different dimension altogether, maybe an altered timeline, result of all that mucking around Kratos does at the end?

Taken on a camera phone. Might be able to capture better quality version over weekend, don't count on it though.

Prepareto have your mind blown. That's not a Spartan. That's a Rhodian Soldier which would presumably be wanting to have Rhodes restored aftered our attack.

I don't recall any other Spartans save the Last Spartan being present. There could have been one though. We do see occassional battles like this. Not enough corpses lying around as reminders like there was in Pandora (which was also a bit sparce).

I thought this was the Last Spartan in full battle gear which he loses in this fight. Kinda like foreshadowing battle with him. And if this is Rhodian soldier, what happened to this guy?

I just wanted to try and see if it would be possible to join in the fight. But they're just playing out a preset animation loop. Interestingly, none fighting bleed when hit but air bleeds a few moments later.

What really bugged me was that how did Spartan make it so far? Maybe he took advantage of his path having been cleared by Kratos, or he has some glitch powers and swam all the way across.

That reminds me, moments ago I got the swimming glitch going at Palace of Fates. Was gonna post it, but checked your FAQ and realized it is already covered. Let me know in case yo prefer a video of same. Might be able to record some stuff over weekend.

I didn't get to record it [yet] but I was mentioning the video of swimming at Lakhesis fight [was it Throne of Fates or something?]. It's similar to the vid you already have, just get the glitch going without breaking time crystal.

All I managed to do was reach Lakhesis without breaking time crystal, thus getting infinite slowdown but no means to breakout of 'sled' stance.

Ah, sorry I mistook the location you mentioned for the place you get the Amulet of Fates.

Maybe record it if something additional comes up in that place.

On only one occassion did I think i may have spotted the Last Spartan (just before Garden of the Gods but I was never able to get a clear look ahead).

I knew it wasn't the Last Spartan based soley on his attire. It was not that of a Spartan of GoW's universe. Plus, that particular spartan was a badass (Gears logic) so he did better than those with full gear. Curiously Spartan weapons were.. left out mostly. Shield played down

All scenery fights work like that...

Alternate dimension is not too bad a theory. It would make most sense that different adventurers go through completely different challenges whenever approaching the fates (after all, most areas Kratos visits are a mess afterwards. No one could complete the Translator quests after him, for example).
