can you special order a left-hand holster from springfield? or do you have to buy aftermarket?

I honestly don't know. With about 10% of the US population being left handed, it wouldn't surprise me if you could.

That being said, the holster that comes with this gun is not the best. Its floppy on a standard belt and its won't fit on a duty belt. This holster is good to get you by one the range, but it's not what I recommend for daily carry.

I recommend the Desantis Pro Stealth, Model 91, size 16 or the CTAC (compact tactical adjustable cant) holster.

The holster in the video is a CTAC, which stands for Compact Tactical Adjustable Cant holster. It allows you to tuck in your shirt between the holster and your pants for concealment, if you so choose. These are made from molded plastic which means they are made to fit one specific model of gun. We paid around $80 for this holster.

I have the .40 sub compact and I love it I carry it in a kolster holster IWB don't need nothing else!

I just bought a Springfield XD Tactical 5 .45ACP.. Haven't shot it yet, probably will this weekend.. I can tell already this is going to be an awesome gun.

Which is more accurate? Glock 27 or Springfield xd 40 subcompact?

I already have a G27 and I'm looking into getting the xd but still on edge.

@GellyNose After much research on consealed carry holsters for this guy i found the Crossbreed Supertuck was the clear winner. After purchasing (i upgraded to Horsehide leather) i absoulutely couldnt be happier. Its a bit larger and pretty ugly but very comfortable if your going to carry. This is my opinion.

@MrsJaguar10 Either will work for home defense. It really comes down to what you are most comfortable shooting. The subcompact has a little more snap than the full size but is very managable with practice. If you plan to carry then I would suggest the subcompact.
