  • $9 for a wheel cylinder... bargain, who would ever rebuild them at that money...?.. Good progress Dan.. if those carpets come out then maybe you could steam clean em..? Happy new year guys.. Del.

  • @Moonfleet41 I'm thinking about just buying all the rugs, its kind os steep on price, but the previous owner just slapped oily stuff down in the back, and spilled and ice cream one to. In episode 3 I do some power washing with the paint gun and soapy water, works pretty good, lol.

  • if its not all beat up underneath i would just ditch the bug shield and those stick on side vents. might want to keep the steps if she is a smaller lady. Sounds like the guys who had it before you did some hack work and it sure looks dirty. Should turn out to be a great vehicle when done.

  • @84400 It was some Mexican dude that owned it before the South Sac brothers. They like to put those on here in California, they think they look tuff. I'm guessing that the mexican dudes were the ones that painted it, and did some of the mechanical stuff, the S. Sac dudes really didn't know that much about rides, other than putting in speakers, lol. With Car Fax, you find out alot about rides these days.

  • Buy some good all purpose degreaser. I use Natures from CCS distributing. It is a concentrate I dilute down depending how bad carpet is. You will need at least a full gallon for your truck. Put some in a spray bottle with vey hot water and spray the hell out of it. Let it sit at least 10-15 min. Then spray one section with degreaser again and use a bucket of hot water and a medium stiffness brush, dip in hot water and scrub away then shop vac it up. Of course dont get it too wet lol.

  • @Procrastinatorgarage I put some in my paint gun, and blasted some of it off, but I'm thinking if the steam cleaner doesn't get it, just spring for the new carpets and be done with it.

  • @MrMrfloridaboy352 I already thought about that, they have uphostry paint, it's more like a dye, I used it on project Blazers seats. It soaks in rather than just sit on top. We looked at LMC Truck, $340 for new carpet. Joe and our Mom were talking about a steam clean. We'll have to see.

  • take some primer on the carpets its a old trick if u didnt know about that already
