Greg Lavern spent 15 years learning the golf swing at the feet of the master. Moe taught Greg everything he knows but no one knows about Greg. Here is his swing as viewed from down the line. More to follow!

  • "M O S more of the same. The ball goes dead straight every time."

  • Straight as an arrow! What kind of scores do you shoot with that?

  • Love the vid. I am working on the same things. I watch Moe's swing vids over and over again and take it to the range...I just got serious about it three days ago and I improve with each trip to the driving range. I finally got the concept through my head of having passive hands(no un-natural manipulation)...Wow!!...what a difference!!

  • this looks a ton better than todd graves. todd still has some conventional aspects to his swing like the club head going all the way around his body. he has to recoil more to get in the classic moe finish.

  • I got to see it once... =o(

It belongs to Greg's buddy in Florida, Lawson Mitchell who took the video back then. Lawson got lessons from Ben Hogan and was a good friend of Moe's. Moe introduced him to Greg. The footage is transferred from some super 8 film and has Moe with a variety of clubs just banging them out there. Pretty sweet. They're working on a book, when it comes out they are going to use segments of the video. I want that book! =o)

  • When Moe was older he took it away more inside then curled it up before transition but when you compare it to Moe back in the seventies the similarity to Greg is more pronounced. I have an animated gif of them side by side that shows how close they are. I'm in the process of putting it into a video format so Greg can upload it. Greg has some video footage of Moe from the sixties - that is the swing Moe taught him.

  • Amazing!! Great Moe Norman swing. Please submit some more video's.

  • The quality looks really good. Once you put a few more up there with info about how you learned it from Moe over a period of more than ten years it will start showing up in the search engines. Excellent!

  • Hey Greg. Looks just like Moe!
