Huh? A 34 band bra isn't 30 inches. You are measuring the FULLY STRETCHED measurement, right? Because that's the ONLY length measurement that matters. The unstretched measurement only tells you where the bra lies when you aren't wearing it. Not very useful.

You have to stretch the bra ALLLLLL the way. Most people, even when stretching it, don't stretch it enough to measure it properly. Stretch until JUST before you are concerned that you would ruin it. Basically, pull with strength.

Why not stop with the vanity sizing and sell bras that have proper measurements? Bras are elastic! It is insane that a "34 inch bra" would be 30 inches. Insane, misleading and extremely dumb. It just adds to the difficulties finding properly fitting bras. The UK and EU have more standardised and realistic sizing.

What is wrong with being a 38J or K? American sizes aren't standardised. The "add 4 inches" has its base in outdated vanity sizing.

    A proper manufacturer won't have a "tight 38", they'll have a REAL 38.

If you choose a 44 yet measure 38, it will be WAY too loose, while wearing a too small cup, and instead of supporting your breasts you'll be injuring your breast tissue.

38J/K isn't that much bigger than a 44DD. The cup is slightly bigger, the band is tighter - and the band should be tight.

The first woman is so not a 34. If she measures a 30, she ís a 30. The tighter the bra, the better (not too tight so you can't breathe, ofcourse). The best way to measure your brasize is to put on a bra and look at how it fits. As this video shows, there are so many things that could go wrong while measuring with a measuringtape!

I believe this is accurate information if i went by everyone's comments I'd be a 38 j or k or something or a 40 e which i know im not that huge and so far i can find many 42 ddd bras which is my size. So im wearing a 44 dd at the moment.

Yeah, that's why the best thing to do is try them on. The main thing is knowing how it's supposed to fit and know which type of bra you can/cannot wear for the best fit. Also the size depends on the maker. I wear a different size depending on the brand.

I know for a fact that I am a D, but band size is a problem since everything seems to be too loose, or too tight. When I tried the underarm method, I measured a B. When I tried the underbust method, I was a AA. lawl I'll try it again with some help, but really, I don't know how it could be that off.
