eric levine also plays the op 55 e flat nocturne

I recommend trying to phrase longer lines and play less one-dimensionally. Try to make this impromptu sound sweet and meandering yet seductive at all times. In the middle section, save the fire for the fortissimo. If the whole thing is fortissimo, there's no impact or effect made in the most climactic part! Good luck and keep practicing.

Wow. You played the piece fucking well. It's was also well-played in the one posted in pianosociety. I also like your recording of the Arpeggio Etude. You set a good example to other pianists.

i like very much what he's doing, and i love this piece of chopin, i recommande juste a little more legato, and less hand's movement.

great performance. just my two cents: playing faster doesn't necessarily mean playing less expressive (ie Cziffra's interpretation). the first line could be more smooth. watch out for unnecessary accents. lighten up. some parts are too bangy. the sostenuto section: melody sounds a little disjointed. have more flow and direction. lighten up the right hand.

Very well played

Levine, you have played this Chopin Impromptu divine... Thank you for your interpretation.
Which advice would you give to someone who is begining to study this work?.
this is too fast. this would be nice if played rather slowly. try to watch stanislav bunin's video of this piece. it's the best so far.

I did a professional studio recording of this piece. I play it much slower and more expressively. If you go to Pianosociety dot com, (replace the "dot" with a .) select Composers-Romantic then select Chopin and then scroll down to Impromptus, you can check it out.

this must be my lucky day. your recording is a great help. thank you. what made you decide to record it at a slower speed?

I prefer to play it slow actually. The performance in the video clip is a more careless "run through" of it, not as expressive.
