mine has the same gain taper. funny though, i never use it dirty, i use this pedal in a Klon kind of way, with an overdrive in front of it, as a clean boost into my matchless, jubillee or vibrolux. really thickens the signal hitting the amp with great overtones. at first i was disappointed with it until i figured out a way to make it work in my rig. it can be noisy though

Does your Baker have the Dimarzio VV PAF's?

does your gain only really kick in around 3/4 of the way up? I have a 2008 version and the gain only really comes on around 3/4 of the way up (non boosted).

I just received a 2008 kar krash of of Ebay. Sounds good but I noticed that the gain doesn't come on until around 1 oclock on the gain dial...then it comes on quickly. Is your pedal the same? I'm wondering if the previous owner was messing with the internal bias pots.

Yeah mine is the same as yours, the gain really kicks in from about 1 oclock onwards. Its one of those pedals which at first seems like there not much gain, but reacts really well to your playing. Sort of a "Clean gain" if there ever was such a thing. Enjoy!

I'm on the "wrecked" mode (slightly brighter), with the fast (Gain Boosted) switched on.
