When I saw the picture of this home in today's new listing email I knew I had to visit the site.

I can't recall ever having seen a Spanish Colonial style home in Lincoln Park before -- or anywhere in Chicago's Near North lakefront neighborhoods.

Judging from the MLS pictures the Spanish Colonial theme is executed throughout the home -- broad plank flooring, wood-beamed and wood-paneled peaked ceilings, wrought iron stair railings, wide wood trim around the windows and door frames, a slate back yard, and so on.

Join me for a brief look at the exterior of the home, which is in the 2700 block of Marshfield.
