my 429 has a comp cam hooker headers and to 12in glasspacks and sounds just as good as that does stock i want two one for my fairlane and the other for my corvette to piss off chevy guys

The baddest engine ever. If Chevy/Mopar hadnt ganged up on Ford and lobbied the higher-ups in Nascar to ban the engine, it wouldve taken over Nascar and we`d actually see some different setups in Nascar instead of the same boring old 358 everyone uses. Yeah it does 9000rpm at ~800hp but theyre all the same. Also if Ford wouldve worked a better cam drive system it wouldve taken over T/F

Check out the Sainty BTV OHC top fuel engine, thats what T/F needs it would wax everyone.

I watched Connie Kalitta win Top Fuel at the 1967 Winternationals with his 427 SOHC "cammer" Ford. Other guys running the Ford hemi, at that time, included Tom Hoover, Bob Tasca, Don Nicholson and Pete Robinson. Though I have always been a Chevy guy this is easily my all-time favorite motor. The biggest issue they had in fuel racing was with the timing chain. Robinson even designed a gear system for his "cammer" that, when opened up, looked like the insides of a pocket watch.

I'm a Mopar guy but truth be known I'm pretty much a Mopar guy that really likes Fords. I always though the sound of a nice 426 Hemi was nice but this cammer, wow. Man, does this puppy sound sweet.

and YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE A BLOWER TO GET EXTRA POWER OUT OF IT,

Just put velocity stack's and or dual carb;s on it and there it is,

except for drag racing you dont need all that power except to brag to peoiple.

@kirkconway Ford Racings supercharger upgrade for the 2011 GT500, the TVS, bolts on in 3 hrs and produces up to 850 hp.

The 2013 GT500 gets bored out to 5.8Ls and will be topped with the TVS, and it will produce around 620 hp on pump gas, do 60 in 3.7s, and will pass emissions tests.
