The idea for Candystripe Favours (favors) and candy wedding favors came from my natural passion and talent for creating all things sweet and beautiful. For many years I have provided delectable celebration cakes and sweet treats for family and friends' weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, mother's days and Easter.
In the summer of 2011 my sister-in-law married and I was keen to provide something lovely for her special day. We eventually decided on some home-made favours as we wanted to treat her guests to a truly special and scrumptious 'thank you' treat. After much experimentation with recipes and packaging that would befit an extravagant and stunning setting in the Lake District, we had found our three homemade chocolates. The three chocolates were to represent past, present and future happiness for the bride and groom.
One of the chocolate pieces was to be a smooth and rich chocolate fudge, which I discovered to be a satisfying and decadent sweet which I enjoyed making. Of course, my fudge experimentation didn't stop there! I constantly try out new recipes, adapt them to create an intensely creamy texture and add them to my repertoire. You will find some of these varieties in the Candystripe Fudge Favours collection. All of the Candystripe range is taste tested by a large and varied panel from young to old, to find a recipe which will suit the pallettes of many of your guests and loved ones.
Expanding the Candystripe range to include homemade chocolates has been a fun and tasty journey. All of the chocolates are truly made with love and individual attention to taste quality and presentation. I always experiment with my own favourite taste and texture combinations as a starting point. Only the finest chocolates make the Candystripe chocolate collection and some of my personal favourites in the current collection are the Amaretto and almond truffles and the chocolate drizzled coconut ice. The soft, light and rich velvety texture of the truffle combined with the gentle almond and marzipan scent and flavour is a match made in heaven for the discerning chocoholic. Coconut ice is a childhood favourite of mine, reminiscent of sea-side holidays and this chocolate drizzled coconut ice is a grown-up, teeth-sinking taste sensation not to be missed.
The chocolate collection also includes some more unusual treats like Florentines which are loaded with almonds, cranberries and honey -- pure ambrosia of the slightly crunchy, chewy and fruity kind!
I hope that you enjoy eating and treating your loved ones to our unique and delicious range of fudge and chocolate sweet treats. We are always developing new collections and ranges and would love to hear from anyone who has a great taste sensation they would like to see us experiment with.

  • @twcandysf that should be sprinkling not sprinleing

  • @termspec Coming soon to the website is a brand new chocolate bouquet. It is 400g of chocolate including a chocolate brownie base, milk chocolate leaves, solid chocolate flowers and a sprinleing of chocolate truffles. Use it as a table centre peice, put it on top of your wedding cake or just eat the lot before anybody else sees it.

  • @jwdnd with a fudge packer of course - is there any other way
