Why are you so obsessed with whether the band charts, or 'makes a dent'? The number of quality bands that do not feature in the charts is quite high. The top 20 these days is a complete embarrassment at times in my opinion. By the way Dave Leslie is one of the best rock guitarist/ssongwriters Australia/The World has produced. And thats not being defensive, moreso pointing out your ignorance. As the old saying goes, 'Any fool can criticise and condemn, and most fools do'. You're a strange one.

The difference between 'rock' and disposable pop music is that it encapsulates your whole soul and being. It's a way of life. Rock doesn't have an age. Most of the kick arse rock bands in the world today are mostly fronted by 'Males' over ther age of 40. I'm 29 so whilst i'm not young, i'm far from being 'washed up' . Music just doesn't cater to 'young people'. 50 is damn old mainly if you are dressed in a leotard bumping and grinding with the aid of younger, more hip r'n'b stars. Rock on Suze!
