Safety glasses?
Burning and painfull eye's are coused by the potassium nitrate. Dextrin is not an irritating compound at all XD

Dextrin is produced by the pyrolisis of starch, breaking down the long amylose and amylopectid strands, creating dextrin, witch contains smaller glucose chains. I think the fireworks expert knows verry well wich chemicals are harmfull to your body. But he doesn't goïng to tell it at national television by safeteyreasons or something like that.XD
But getting potassium nitrate in your eye's is quite painfull!
