Story so far: Mario managed to defeat Bowser and his army, but for no reason it seems. The princess in the castle was a fake. Now Mario has no idea where the princess could be. As he leaves Bowser's Kingdom, he feels the ground below him shake. As he looks behind him, he sees a castle rise from below the ground. Mario is wondering what's going on when he suddenly remembers something someone in the Mushroom Kingdom had said about a mysterious castle:
"Legend has it that on Halloween Night, a Strange Castle appears from out of the mists and the fog and casts its never ending shadow across the land..."
It becomes clear now; This is the legendary Halloween castle! Mario has a hunch that the creatures of this castle were responsible for the princess's kidnapping and sets off to the new castle.
Upon entering, Mario feels that the area is getting hotter. As he looks down, he realizes that the lava is rising! Mario better be ready to take his jumping skills to the max if he plans on saving the princess..and himself..........
Level 8- The Halloween castle of the legend will appear when you start the game on October 31st. When you start the level, lava will start rising immediately. Now you'll need to go left and right to wall jump and triple jump to the top of the castle. Use the Koopa's for extra height. If you don't think your Wall jump is ready for this challange, go back to level 1 and level 6 to practice.
Story now: Mario makes it to the top of the castle. Two doors now stand between him and the one behind this. But as he opens the door, a blinding light surrounds Mario, leaving him unable to see where he is. When his vision clears up, he winds up in a "familiar" location.....
Level 9- World 1-1
Wait a minute?... World 1-1?! But how? Well now that your here, finish this clone level of the original Super Mario Bros. When you reach the caslte at the end of the level, World 1-1 will be engulfed in flames.
Moment of truth: As it turns out, World 1-1 was just an illusion. Mario realizes that he's back at the double doors. He goes in and comes face to face with the true villian behind all this; Count Dracula Vlad Tepes.
Extra Boss: The Count
Count Dracula Vlad Tepes from the Castlevania series is the one behind the kidnapping of the princess and creating the illusion of World 1-1 earlier. Now it's time to make him pay in this three part fight.
Part 1
Attacks
Teleport- Dracula will disappear and reappear in random spots. No damage will be inflicted when he dissapears, but will cause some damage if he reappears and touches you.
Shield: When reappearing, Dracula will have a shield that will harm you if touched.
Tri-Fire: Dracula deactivates the shield and releases three fireballs from his cape.
Weakness: Head
How to Beat:
This part is as easy as fighting Bowser's first form. In fact, it's the same basic strategy. Avoid his reappearance, wait for the shield to go down, and bop him on the head.
Part 2
Dracula transforms into a blue winged beast. Mario recognizes him! It's the beast that took the princess the other night!
Attacks
Fly and Fire: Dracula flies and shoots fireballs at you.
Giga Beam: When he lands, Dracula will charge and fire a powerful beam.
Weakness: Head
How to Beat:
You can attack him at any time as long as he's in reach of your jumps. His fire move is fairly easy to dodge. His Giga Beam is not as easy, but can be avoided by jumping over him at just the right time.
Part 3
Dracula resorts to his final form; a giant beast!
Attacks:
Jump: Dracula jumps to the other side.
Firewall: Dracula charges and releases a fireball that builds up and slides to the other side of the screen.
Three Flames: Dracula jumps in the air and drops three large balls of fire.
Lightning Strike: Dracula jumps in the air and shoots various lightning bolts that come closer to you with each strike.
Weakness: Head
How to Beat:
First of all, have all your lives when you go into the castle and hope that you get through with more than half. This beast is a powerhouse and each move deals out 2-4 pieces of damage. And chances are that they will hit, especially the lightning strike. Just hope that you get a chance to attack, then triple jump to reach his head. Once you beat him, you've beaten the game and are awarded the ending, which includes a parody conversaton from "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night."
Conclusion:
Count Dracula- "Tell me!.... Wha...What were Lisa's last words?"
Mario- ?? Mama Mia!
Count Dracula- "Hah..heh, the sarcasm."
After those last words, Dracula bursts into flames and dissapears. Suddenly the princess appears right before Mario. But neither can be happy right now as the castle begins to fall right before them! Mario and Peach make their quick escape via Warp Pipe. The Halloween Castle is no more. Mario escorts the princess back home and (until the next game) they lived hapily ever after.
THE END
I actually thought this real final boss was more enjoyable to fight then Bowser was. Also it does not necessarly have to be Halloween to play this level. The computer's internal clock is actually interfaced with this game. If you set the clock to October 31st this level will appear after defeating Bowser. Also if you set it to December 25th you unlock an ice world and setting it to April 1st unlocks Green Hill Zone. I kid you not. There is a Sonic level in this game.

@jmario232 Nice of you to notice the internal clock interface trick. The idea was to play the game in Halloween though, so let's just stick with the officials.
