  • Wow nice job! You made a so-so playing pin into an attraction!

  • Thanks, the game is kinda dark to begin with, so it's a natural for lighting mods. the theme lends itself to the techno effect too.

  • Hmm... would the cathodes not get damaged??

  • No, the cold cathodes are on top of the metal ball inlane guides below the slingshot plastics, the ball cannot enter that space. The glass tube is inside a plastic tube too as designed so it could take some abuse anyway.

  • NICE!!! Great work!

  • Can you please provide me with what EL wire you bought, and detail how to hook it up inside? I just got a next gen, and I think that it owuld be an AWESOME addition to do

    Thanks

  • Very nice work! I have a Twilight Zone table that I've been dying to do the same kind of EL Wire modding. I've been looking all over the web and it seems that many other people want to do this mod, but nobody has any idea how to do it, lol. Very sad and disappointing.... I'm not very friendly with electronics, but if you happen to have any spare time, do you think it'd be possible to write up a simple set of instructions on how to connect the power source to the EL Wires?

    Thanks again!

  • EL-Wire is powered by an inverter/driver that runs off of 12Vdc; I tapped this off of the games power supply.

Lasers are powered by the same circuit that runs the cannon motors, with appropriate current limiting.

The laser mod is available commercially for $125 at pinball life website; note I have no association with that kit.

  • Cool mods! Especially the laser lights.

  • thanks for the clear tape tape answer how did you tie in for the power on the lasers could you post a video of the cannon mod with the cover off excellent mods very artistic and cool also how are you powering the el wire is that its own transformer

  • Glad you like it, thanks.

As far as the means of mounting:

It's very simple, just clear tape every 4 to 6 inches. Virtually invisible unless you are trying to find it.

Just need to ensure the EL-Wire is on the outside radius of the ramp wire so the ball does not wear on it.

  • how did you attach the el wire to the wireform ramps it looks totally cool great job and thanks for the tips
