Just one week after the Bay Area Maker Faire where Scott Cassell presented the 'Great White', the submarine started sea-trials in Lake Tahoe, CA. After an extensive rebuild of the K-250 submarine the crew of the Undersea Voyager Project spent 2 weeks putting this small submarine through her paces.
This submarine nicknamed 'Spots' in memory of a Great White Shark named 'Spots'. She had a massive 3,500 lb body reaching over 16 feet in length made her look ominous but she has always been wonderfully calm and inviting.
