There were so many different styles of tap dancing during our time: Buck and Wing, rhythm, comic, flash, legomania, improvisation.... All the dancers had their own style. And all the dancers were great. But I wouldn't call any one of these great dancers the "world's greatest tap dancer." And I'll tell you why. Because each one of them had their own style. And I wouldn't compare any of them. And when I see any of these dancers, I'm looking at them entertainin' me. At that moment that dancer is the world's greatest tap dancer!
