  • It was most awkward and confusing to cast actress Deborah May, who had played Renee Dubois just two years earlier, as Ivy Pierce, yet another character paired unsuccessfully and ineffectively with Don Stewart's Mike Bauer. Typical of writer Doug Marland's sputtering, meandering efforts in early '82, the Pierce story led nowhere.

  • In This Clip, From 4:39 To 4:58, It Was "Guiding Light" Break Video Bumper #2 From June 3, 1982.

  • @coolwafferman Mike became fascinated by a Spaulding employee named Brenda Lowery. Although Brenda agreed to go out with Mike, she refused to allow the relationship to develop further. Brenda's reluctance to get closer to Mike would become apparent when it was learned that she wasn't who she said she was--she was actually an FBI agent named Ivy Pierce, who was trying to find out from Mike how much he knew about a mysterious one-eyed man who was attempting to assassinate Alan.

  • @coolwafferman Confusing! Deborah May played Dr. Renee Dubois on GL from 1979-80, then Ivy Pierce also known as Brenda Lowry from 1982-83 on GL!

  • @heddalee I forgot the lady's name on "GL", but the actress name is Deborah May.

  • Henry Chamberlain was so classy and great!

  • Who is the blond woman who is in all these offices scenes?!

  • @dontabaltimore1974

Actually, GH was losing viewers around this time with the big departure of actress Genie Francis (Laura Spencer). Plus, GH had a very stupid storyline going on at this time with an unknown Demi Moore (Jackie Templeton) involving a mystery man with so-called "special powers" name David Gray. GH had gotten ridiculous by this point, that's why alot of people started switching over to watching GL. Also, GL won the Emmy that year (1982) for "Outstanding Daytime Drama."

  • @fousies Carrie Anderson or Todd Marler was the first wife of Ross Marler.

  • @krystlerita As the person who sent this episode to kerster22 to post, I swear I know the date of this episode is correct. Although, not on the video I sent, the CBS Newsbreak that aired after this episode as shown on WoST: World of Soap Themes clearly references events during the Falkland Island crises happened on the date of this episode.
