The San Juan River in Mexican Hat froze solid over the past few weeks. The ice was 8-feet thick in places. It was surreal to be able to walk across the river even though it was freezing outside. The river has since thawed, the ice is dispersing downstream and what was left of the snow in the region has turned to thick, creamy mud. All the better, because what comes from the sky must go downstream.
