How Strong are Eggs? Compression Strength Test

We've all attempted to break an egg by squeezing it with our hands and failed miserably. In an attempt to have a little fun we decided to try and test the strength of eggs (i.e. measure the compressive load required to break them).

What is the unit used for measuring the pressure?

The unit is force in "Pounds" not pressure. If it was pressure we would use either PSI or MPa.

@Spyez the white egg placed horizontally can whitstand 89.9 pounds of force, its the last one. theoretically, two of them would hold intact with a human on top of them

I'm no mathematician, but I'm fairly certain 52 + 55 is 107 pounds, not 180. Even then, 107 pounds of down force pressure is not an accurate rating for two eggs.
