So tell me, if I shoot you in the face but you miraculously come away with minor injuries is it any less of an attempted murder?
The result has nothing to do with the punishment. Stomping on someone with a skate can result in career ending injuries. All the players know this, and still Ryan decided to do this. Intent matters, not the result.

@SuperPekka . Well, I don't know about the amount. It's tough to call during the playoffs on a guy with a previously clean record. I was expecting 2 but thought they could have easily pushed for 3 or 4. Hopefully though the Ducks won't have another 4 games to play!! LOL

@SuperPekka There is a huge difference - namely the fact that play resumed and Blum skated away just fine. Also, a face is made of skin and bone whereas a hockey skate is made of ballistic nylon. Never realized Nashville fans and players were such whiny bitches. I actually had respect for you guys before this series.

@pehaax - Using the blade of skate is what got him the suspension. Not the stomp or the result of the stomp. Never realised us whiny bitches knew more about hockey than some of you experts!
