♪♪ The NBA on NBC Returns in 2016 Theme ★ Full New Version ★

In the 2016-17 NBA season the NBA will have a chance to change networks which means that Comcast can get the rights back to the league for NBC Sports.

I decided to make an opening video package featuring a new version of their theme song using NBC graphics and clips from the 2010-11 season.

The theme song has been remixed through a never been heard before higher pitch version of John Tesh's iconic Roundball Rock theme song.

The clips in the package feature the league's feature superstars and most teams are seen in the package but not all of them.

NBC Major Sports Rights:

@mjhartman1986 Same here although CBS has done a great job with the package, I really want FOX to lose their package to NBC so we can have two quality sports networks broadcast these NFL games.

@IcePackie Plus, NBC and CBS are transmitting over the air HD signals at 1080i, while Fox, CW, ESPN, and ABC are using low grade HD 720p. The Super Bowl looked better on NBC than it did on Fox because of the higher resolution. Fox and Disney are too cheap to use full HD. I was using rabbit ears to watch the Super Bowl because I was waiting for a new HD cable box, and it looked better over the air on NBC than it did watching it last year on Fox through my old Dish Network connection.

great news om January 2nd 2012 Versus will relaunch as NBC Sports Network NBC Sports will have their own 24 hour network so I hope this means NBA will be back under NBC Sports network

this theme just makes the nba feel bigger then anything abc/espn/tnt/tbs has done with the sport. Every week when the classic theme would hit you knew something big was happening. I miss that

@IcePackie Yea, but the traditionalist (if you want to call it that) in me wants football broadcasting to return to its original glory with the NFC on CBS and the AFC on NBC.
