@JonGarrett2008 there has really always been the greedy elite, the only difference is the means to satisfy the greed ie. the oil

@czubspenx oh no i think so but those empires were not capitalist and did not have democracy. those empires were communist or dictatorships or monarchies which would abuse it for a long ass time until the whole nation rebelled or other ways. now a days the populace feeds the companies because we want cheaper things quicker and want more all the time and they provide it so we keep fueling them so until we stop or they get destroyed it wont fall

@JonGarrett2008 .. they only went down to the one base in the far south of the islands it hardly means they have control and they wont have it for long because the japanese are not happy w/ them still there they will be out in 10-20 yrs i reckon maybe less. italy i dont know much about so i wont comment. hmm you lose a war so you then send more troops back there to maintain a base yea that makes total sense?!?! IF we dont i will do the same but we wont be there for ever or even a long time

@JonGarrett2008 even though he wasnt really evading more hiding in a country that wouldnt let the US go into to find him and basically had OBL's men in the paki gov to help him yes that is great evading. you do know iraq or should i say saddam supported al-qaeda and helped fund and train them as well as get help from them against the kurds so good job on that. yes but for nearly 40 yrs after the war the reason was incase communist russia attacked europe and japan because of korea and then....

@JonGarrett2008 yes well i should clarify they are safer against their own gov and believe it or not but they are probably all around safer than they were under the taliban or 5 yrs ago and its getting better every week so yes safer and better lives. yes people died we were in a war and are still fighting so people will die im not saying they should or i dont care im just saying thats war people die if they didnt it wouldnt be war. most of those civilians were from the taliban or by accident

us marines r good ppl. they don't deserve all this bloodshed that islamic terrorists r showing. i feel pity when these good folks die. islamic terrorism should be erased along with jewish propoganda.

When Bush said that he wasn't concerned, he meant what he said hence the reason OBL evaded US forces for nearly 8yrs. Bush also invaded Iraq, NOT Afghanistan where the "terrorists" were who "attacked" us on 9/11
WWII ended over 65 years ago yet US forces are still stationed in; Germany, Japan & Italy.
The Korean War ended 58 years ago yet US forces are still stationed there.
Vietnam, the war we lost has ZERO US forces in their country.
if we leave, yes, I'll apologize.....IF.
every country that has gone into Afghanistan has lost, why does the US expect to win? the US has actually had an easier time than all the other countries that have gone in their and we still cant get the job done.
had Bush went to Afghanistan instead of lying and going in to Iraq things might be different, however, the war was not against terror but was about future oil revenues.
when will Americans wake up and take back their country from the greedy elite !
