On July 9, 2011, Jonathan Richman hosted a screening of "Vengo" at The Red Vic Movie House in San Francisco, and invited his friend Kenny Parker, aka "Keni el Librajano", to add some commentary during the projection and play a bit at the the end of the show. This was his first piece, followed by a discussion of the flamenco scene in the Bay Area. See part 2 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbrvHYwX6cw .
This is beautiful. I am so glad we have Keni el Lebrijano as a local treasure. There is so little of the old, traditional Flamenco being played these days that it is very hard to find anymore. Thanks for posting this. I have already watched it and listened to it several times. It is so moving. Thanks for bringing more light into this increasingly dark world! If you are lucky enough to live in the S.F. Bay Area, I would recommend going to see and hear Keni play. He is the real thing!
