@abaseraserhead It wasn't a real Russian Embassy, lol! It's a listed mansion built in the 1880s. Russian Embassy is the nickname it acquired when a group of Russians who had left Russia after the October Revolution opened a nightclub there in the 1920s. In the 1940s it was a Jazz Club, & in the 1960s it was occupied by hippies from the San Francisco Haight Ashbury area, including musicians, artists, etc.. who started a Commune there. Its actual name is William Westerfield House, Fulton St, SF
