Bob Ross: Real-Life Speedpainting

This is Season 31, Episode 01 of "The Joy of Painting," but sped up so it's just over six minutes long. Speed-painting on YouTube seems to all be done on the computer then sped up, well here's one from real life! The painting (or at least the episode) is entitled, "Reflections of Calm." Season 31, filmed in 1994, was the last season of the show before Ross tragically died of lymphoma in July of 1995.
The music I chose is from the late great Sir George Harrison, whose peaceful style of music seemed to fit Bob's peaceful style of painting. The songs featured are "This is Love" from the Cloud Nine album, and "Pisces Fish" from the Brainwashed album.
I own none of the copyrights to the music or the video, and don't pretend to. I hope this video inspires some of you to look further into Bob Ross' work, as well as George Harrison's, for that matter.

the best part of his shows is not the tremendous speed or skill he has, but the unpredictability (if that makes sense) he would paint something and just when you think you know what's next, he'll do something else but it will look NATURAL. He'll just throw a glob of paint on the canvas, and you'll think, oh god, he screwed up. In less than a minute he turns that "mistake" into a beautiful rosebush or a towering evergreen. Even in death, Bob Ross, you live on. RIP
