The Rain - Super 8

Some leftover Kodachrome 40 footage from an old Bell & Howell Model 431 camera from the 1960's. It meters from 10 to 400 ASA, and uses an "Optronic" Eye for auto metering (no manual).

The auto meter readings swing pretty sharply so steady exposure is hard to get, probably from its age. Still, I thought the footage has a certain "look" to it so I added some eerie music and sound fx to make this.

I'd like to expand on this, but I got to cleaning the old B&H camera and broke it instead. I've since ordered another so we'll see. I really disliked this camera because the auto meter was so latent in responding to the light, but it definitely had its "look".

You`re right, this footage definitely has an atmospheric "look" to it. What`s funny is the fact that people with digital cameras will spend a lot of money on editing programs to achieve this look.

This is rad... The creepy music really makes it for me. You should do a moods montage. I'd be cool to mix different types of music and footage. I dunno.
