  • Very nice, but invest in a tripod.

  • Tripods are not alllowed in concert halls here, cameras neither.

  • OK. I understand. You did a good job compared to the other SS 3rd available on YouTube. The sound came out fine. Maybe next time, drink less coffee :-).

  • Thank you, now we are talking. I think these live coverages are far more interesting then copying some dull dvd with an even duller recording. Here you see the musicians if casual dress. I did only have coffee after the (lunch) concert...bye

  • indeed a rehearsal, free luncheon concert.

  • 2:39 to 3:44, I have the music for playing on my piano. Its been simplified in the way the music is written and shortened to just an extract of the song because I'm not at the level where I can play such a long none simplified song butI love playing, its so much fun!

  • @44Bigs I had the privilege of playing it (first violin section). It was one of the most emotional concerts in which I've played.

  • 5:40 - Ben Van Dijk looks like he's about to fall asleep, haha.

  • Flor is simply a wonderful conductor. He always brings out the best in his musicians.

  • Mooi zeg.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Yes! Well done! My favorite recording is still the old Columbia recording w/Berstein conducting. He doesn't take the section *quite* this slow, but it's so beautiful, why not!

  • thats not juste trombone and clarinet solo !! The french horn play whit them .

  • That trombone clarinet duo rivals the philly orchestra recording from the early 80's with the late Dodsen playing the solo.

    Marvelous playing here.

  • Indeed a very nice performance. Sometimes in the first sections i cannot hear very well if the orchestra really plays together or if it just sounds a little bit separated due to the position of the recording

  • AT LAST!! this lovely Adagio section played at proper Adagio!!...Nice performance..
