A Peppermint Production
A video montage to the 2011 Ariat Kentucky Reining World Cup held at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. This video footage was shot by me on Saturday night, April 30th, 2011 during the Musical Freestyle presented by Tarter Farm and Ranch. Also included in this video is the segment "Eventing Goes Reining" where four star level eventers came in to show the reining world what eventers are made of... Gina Miles, Hamish Cargill, Karen O' Connor and David O' Connor made their way in to join the reining community on this special night.
The music I chose to use is "Get Up" featuring E.V.E., the theme from MINUTE TO WIN IT. I claim no rights or ownership to the music. I apologize that I have very little or no footage of some riders as my camera batteries were running low.
Riders featured in the video are listed below with their horse and the song chosen to ride to:
~Gina Miles and Hollywood Aces riding to "Get This Party Started" by P!NK
~Hamish Cargill and Don Julio Whiz riding to "Land Down Under" by Men At Work
~David O' Connor and Paid By Corona riding to "Old Time Rock N' Roll" by Bob Segar

@horselover1239 It was really amazing to see the horses in person! It was also really neat to see how quickly the eventers adjusted to a new discipine! Thank You for the Comment!

@AuryLying I am sorry you don't like the video, I can assure you that none of the horses were harmed, two were even ridden without bridles. I can assure also that they are VERY loved by their owners and handlers, I witnessed the affection myself for these animals after they left the show ring. They are treated like royalty.

This is so neat to hear from you! Thank you for the kind comment. I watched all of the horses that came before Houston Shine, and when it came to him and he began his pattern I looked at the person setting next to me and said, "Ok, I think it's obvious that this one is the winner." You could tell he just had the crowd and the skill to take home the win. Thank You again for your comment!
