Alright, now picture that you just lost $1000 at a major tournament because of chance, when that chance could have been avoided simply by turning off items in-game.

THAT is why many players (competitive players) prefer items off. They could just "adapt" to it, but why should they have to? They should play the game in the way they find most enjoyable.

@XLordSundayX They Can't? Because I can. It's Called "Bucking up, Taking it like a man, and Keep on fighting" Besides, if you're KOed from it, at least you went out with a BANG. Now I will admit Having that happen can indeed be annoying, Lord knows I've had that happen before. But it's those moments of Randomness that sets the Smash Bros apart from other Fighting games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. That's why I've always liked them, and that's why I'll keep on having Items on.

@Nicknyte O.K. yeah your Pichu probably would beat mine. I'm not one of these Melee Crazy People that know these Wavedashing and whatever-canceling and whatnot. That and I Prefer to play with Items (It's my opinion that TRUE players can deal with any situation. since most Melee Pros complain about items I feal they should be on. It may be just me but that's how I am. also put this in the Search bar up there and see MY pichu pwn: "Pokemon Battle Revolution- Vs Youtube?!"
