How to Tell If Your Lionel Layout Plans Are Different Than Your Spouse's....

Test run of my Commodore Vanderbilt passenger set. This is the only layout I have b/c the wife has decreed no space for a permanent setup. I actually have two more passenger cars, but as you can see I won't be using them for a while. Thankfully, I have the Tinplate Trackers of Austin Tx so that I can enjoy the full set.....

does it smoke the greatest? i was just wondering because when the camera was showing the engine, it wasnt smoking the greatest. idk

it actually smokes quite well.  It's not like an MTH fan driven smoke unit, but very good for Lionel standards. I didn't have my smoke fluid handy, hence no smoke for the video. With this engine, b/c of the custom paint, it's very important to use Lionel smoke fluid. I used a bachmann fluid, and ruined my original shell when the fluid dripped on it and bubbled the paint off. I had to get a replacement shell for $135.00 from Lionel.
