What in my opinion makes them so special is the socalled fitth walk and that they are the same horses as from the time of the settlements. Making them very good for the harsh environment of Iceland. Also many people like them because they are not big and hence easier to ride them and because they are not big they don't get problems with feet as much. Also in my opinion you don't have to dress upp all fancy in a special riding gown like a british polo player to go for a ride on an Icelandic horse

I think they are pretty. But i haven't almost ride another breed so i can say that they are BEST.. But good, sweet and so wonderful are they!

i dont think that they are so pretty. they have a wonderful character and they are very cute but there are many other horses looking better !
