Here's some translation
We were 6 at home but it's like if we were 8 cos Sid eat a looooot...lol
Before moving to Rimouski, he visited Christian and the town with his parents & agent. It was a good first contact. "I didnt heard too much about him."
Sid was way too serious, very mature for his young age. He was very focussed on his junior hockey
He didnt go out a lot, he didnt go out with his friends, didnt go too much in the restaurants,no bars, no social activity. He stayed at home. He enjoyed this.
He was pretty serious in everything.. alimentation, bed time/sleep, hockey/practices, even if he was only 16 he could call his teammates and tell them "hey dont sleep too late tonight or don't go out tonight!!"
Some players visited us at home and a few times he got mad at them saying "what you're doing is not serious, this is not the way we'll win" He was def focussed.. 100% hockey.
He was pretty down to earth, he never said he was going to play in the nhl, He didnt want the other to tell him "you'll be in the nhl" it was always "IF you play in the nhl" or "IF ONE DAY....."
He was pretty good at school, great hand writing, good notes,
He didnt had french classes, he learn french by himself, also with Christian's wife. Certainly not in town cos he didnt go out
Journalist asked "There was no girls? Any girl?"
Christian answer "Nahh there was no girl, he looked at the girls but he didnt approch them lol. He stayed at home alone. I'm sure some girls wished.... but nothing happened. He was all alone"
It sounds like he was only made for hockey, he has great hockey circle.
Some people/kids knocked at our door and asked Sid to go out and play hockey outside in the streets with them. He accepted a few times but it was like a big event... too many people were after him and knocked at the door all the time.. lol it was fun.
I believe some times he should have went out to change his mind a little bit but.... no

I went out a few times and I met his teammates and some told me "Sidney dosent go out with us... like what he's doing?" I told them call him!
Sid's answers was "Nah you dont understand... if something happen tonight in this bar/place , it's gonna be my face & my name on the newspaper the next day, everywhere in Canada! Even if I dont do anything bad, I dont see why I should go there,even for a night, I dont want to pay the consequences."

Christian said so (about Sid being lonely & quiet guy) This video is about sharing some infos/stories about Sid and telling how Sid during his junior hockey. It's a great interview. Christian sort of wished that Sid had a normal life, social life but it was kinda hard for Sid because of his fame. But he enjoyed his time in Rimouski. He was a serious/mature leader.

If Gretzky had been hit the same way Crosby was, there's no way that Gretzky would have played the game the way it's played today!!! There we're many players without helmets in the NHL in the 80's.
