Could of fooled me!

It may be a fake but it looks as good as if not better than the original... and probably either to maintain and keep up! I'll take it when you're ready to part!

Love the form...would be happy to have a reliable and cool looking ride. No glory in riding home on the back of a tow truck.

@anghmho and i guess you are one of those. even tho the average mg runs for 25k to 30k and a kit car is about 3k. sounds like ive got more sense than money .
-
@bryanstrain And you would be regarded by enthusiasts as someone with more money than taste.

@profess1000 THIS looks better than the original? Are you crazy? Why do you think the originals are so expensive these days? Is it because they're ugly? Or is it because they're not fun to drive, unlike the VW Beetle, on which this travesty is built?

Pretty snobbish, I have to say. I loved the TDs since a kid, and I've owned the real McCoy since '84 and still love it. But, like I tell my biker acquaintances, I prefer my Harleys, but I would rather ride anything decent than hold out for a real Harley. And, while VW replicars are better sa Porsches (I had a real '61 356 Super), I wouldn't snub a fellow Mg-o-phile - I feel it's petty.

Where are the purists? This production is not bad but sure could use a bit of refinement - especially the wheels (cheapo fake wires - arghh!) and totally DEAD dashboard. Here's an opportunity for an entrepreneur !
Let's see some video of that "Mean Green Machine"!!! The VW frame and engine on my Fiberfab TD has been worry free for 30 years since the car was rebuilt. That's probably because it was all done at the factory and delivered fresh. Check out the tires... they are now 31 years old and not a sign of dryrot! Go figure... Pays to keep a car garaged... no matter how old or new it is.
