@Deat401 This is nature, not The Lion King. All the animals don't sing and dance together in a magical peaceful kingdom. It's brutal, it's graphic and it's not kind. The people made no move to help the lions or the buffalo; they were talking amongst themselves. Somebody probably made an unrelated joke and they laughed, big deal. They probably see this all the time anyway.
Don't watch stuff like this if you can't handle the fact that lions kill animals to eat them. It's not cruel, it's LIFE.

NO. That's the scavenger animals jobs, such as jackals, hyenas and vultures.
Honestly. If you don't know how the animal food system chain works, do NOT watch these videos and spouting compassion crap.
Oh, and as a side note: I don't see humans showing compassion to the thousands of animals killed for your food so don't you go insulting the lions only way to survive.

@codethis If it where a Spanish bull it would have crushed the whole lion pride, they are more aggressive, faster, and fearless, also their horns are not hooked build but rather a lot better designed for charging. Also this are Cape buffalo not Water buffalo.

oh my god... he is still alive and lions are starting eating him... doesnt lion have any compassion for other animals? we are the only animals that have compassions??? but what about the animals coming up against lions??? they look like they are trying to save him. that looks like a compassion to me. then why the lions dont show that to their pray??? it is very very sad

@xmiraculix82 Water Buffalo don't know it, but if they ORGANIZED (like primitive man did), they could kill most lions and make them go extinct in a century or two.

A lot of people who comment on Youtube really have nothing else to do with their lives so, as you probably have already, ignore their comments. Amazing that you followed the whole thing. What a thing to witness. Can't have been all that fun to watch though...poor calf had a nightmare. Made life tough for those lions. Why didn't the lions go for the jugular and suffocate him properly as they would normally?

@andywhatswrong It is a young lion pride, the older, more experienced female moved off and left the youngsters to it, only coming in at the end to deliver the final bite. This sort of experience is essential for the youngsters to become succesful hunters.

Looked like a different calf at the end...was it? Didn't see all of the previous injury on her stomach. Was this two different scenes? Great video.

@dutchmen1002 It was the same calf, the mud from the dam just covered the stomack, you can still see if you look carefully when the lioness turns the calf at the waters edge
