Why do the religious reject evidence?

In this video I talk about some theories as to why religious folks reject evidence and critiques in favor of blindly holding to their beliefs. This video might also be framed as what religion has to offer people that they enjoy and how those pleasures can be attained in an equally or more so fulfilling way without the dogma of organized religion. You mean that ancient book of fairy tales written by primitive retards who said they was INSPIRED by god (notice how they wasn't told by him) just so they can scare people into following them and then using it to keep them in check and get them to "donate" to the "church" and it has hundreds of contradictions, historical inaccuracies and logical flaws. I know that book, ye', it's definitely the truth, it's not like science has proved it wrong already.

@Georgebeatz ORLY? I guess them trying to get their fairy tales taught in schools as fact, has no effect on us, especially that good 'ol story, creationism. I guess them trying to get a religious person voted into power in their country, so they can base laws on their religion, isn't effecting us. I guess them hating gays and treating women like dogs isn't effecting us. Religion effects everyone, it is a cancer, it needs to be completely destroyed.

Everyone thinks they're right & it works just listen understand the language and choose to live in joy in your own way. Religion is like a football team in the NFL people will follow if you create a good show. & it doesn't affect anyone it just helps them.

No offence but the Bible states that the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing.....and this is the simple reason why you don't understand. I think that pretty much sums it up. :)
