Upgrade iPhone to 1.1.4

Hi,

I recently updated to firmware 1.1.4 using iNdependence 1.4 beta 5 (http://code.google.com/p/independence/downloads/list). The activation and gunlock was a very simple process takes between 5-15 minutes depending on the phone. See also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GljoTl7tug

I got rid of the turbosim also and the gunlock seems as fast as the turbosim method.

I can't use the locationer of google because as you saw on my previous video it is week 51 iPhone with bootloader 4.6. If you want the correct baseband you need bootloader 3.9 (not sure but has to be up to week 45 iPhones)

If you want to use the triangulation its better to play with it before gunlocking the iPhone just to see how it works with Wi-Fi hotspots.

The iNdependence method only works for Mac's. For windows there is the method of ZiPhone which I'm not familiar with.

does the cut original sim still work ok even though u had to cut it with the turbosim after the turbo sim is removed and it is upgraded to 1.1.4 ? cheers

yeap because a sim card actually needs only that goldy chip.. everything else is just plastic / pvc mixture which just useful to poison our planet

yeah u dont need turbo sim with 1.1.4 upgrade.
