How to Heal a Nation: A Prayer for Haiti

January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake registering at 7.0 has decimated Haitis capital city, Port Au Prince. Many hospitals, government buildings, schools, markets, and houses have been either severely damaged or totally destroyed. Hundreds are now homeless and scores of other residents and foreign aid personnel have been killed. Yet, Haiti is no stranger to extreme disaster. In 2008, various costal cities in Haiti were flooded due to multiple hurricanes and tropical storms. With no sign of resolution on the horizon, the country is on the verge of total collapse. What can you do to help?

No where in the new testament does the Lord say he will send an earthquake to kill and punish his children for their sins or "wickedness." We are already forgiven.

This isn't their fault. Love is the answer here, not legalism.

yes they do they have created voodo since hati was made. and it is used in porto prince alot.

and they mix it in with catholic religion. and catholic is not good either. the whole catholic church was destroyed in hati

@MEGAGUY21 : yep, i remember watching a documentary on haitian voodoo a few years back. it is so prominent there that I think they even have a RELIGION of voodoo. When i first heard about the earthquake there, the first thing I thought about were the 'sins of the city' (voodoo). But my goodness, it is so sad, I cried a little hear and there about it. people trapped and dying. I donated $30 to help and prayed for them......so sad, so sad...
