Music Visualization, Visual Music, Synaesthesia.

Part of an ongoing attempt to do one-2-one mapping of sound 2 visual colour/texture/shape.
It's a little rough and ready but I like it.
Timing and odd things happening, will tweek in next one.
Have worked out many different workflows with different software. This is midi driving objects in Houdini.
Previous attempts included using:
1. Amorphium + 3dStudioMax.
2. Reaktor + Touch101 (live)
3. Gimp/Painter + Sony Vegas/AfterFX
Houdini seems to be the most suited for my work because of its ability to input and output midi and sound data. It's also quite challenging to learn, but thats a good thing.

Nice work. It's one of the few synaesthesia vids that actually track phenomenology to the music. Now I just wish there was a tool to adjust color, shape, position and texture of objects that could be cued vs time to match music.
