Kevins POV (A.N. HA! Didnt expect that did you?)
"Dude, I just don't know why you're still with her!"
I slammed my car door and Nick and Joe did the same. I was about to reply to that statement that Joe had made but I couldn't think of one response. I honestly had no idea why I was with Arianna.
We were walking up the steps to the porch when Nick said "Speak of the devil..."
I glanced back and saw Arianna crossing the street, headed in our direction. I wanted to hide but that would've been stupid.
She reached us with a big smile on her face. "Hi, hi!" she exclaimed.
"Arianna," I said, a little irritated "what are you doing here?"
She widened her eyes innocently "What, I can't even see my own boyfriend anymore?"
Nick and Joe rolled their eyes and I resisted doing the same. Joe took out his key and was about to open the door when Arianna grabbed me harshly and kissed me.
I heard a huge shout of 'SURPRISE!!' coming from inside the house.
Oh, right. Joe's surprise party.
Arianna, after what seemed an eternity, uncoiled herself from my neck and I saw a sea of people surrounding Joe.
I looked past them and who I saw took my breath away.
She was standing in front of the hall mirror and looking at herself, she smiled. I knew it was fake.
I honestly wanted to go wrap my arms around her and hold her close but Joe beat me to it. She hugged him and my heart sank.
Arianna grabbed my arm and steered me toward some of the guests. They started talking but I paid little attention to them. I kept my eyes on Stella and Joe. They talked a little and at one point, Joe offered her a hug.
Don't accept it, don't accept it, I repeated in my head; but my hopes were crushed when she wrapped her arms around Joe.
Se looked directly at me.
I hoped she saw the hurt in her eyes mirrored in mine.
