Actually, the high trumpet hanging over is something that has been done for a LONG time in jazz, etc. As a lead, i used to do it in Jazz, Drum Corp etc. It isn't just BD... it's like an exclamation mark of a lead... especially one who can scream like he can! Listen to some Maynard Ferguson, Doc Severinson, Stan Mark, etc... you'll hear it plenty. Beautiful job BD! From my days in Spirit of Atlanta and Memphis Blues, I can tell you this is top notch!
