I'm doubtful that ousting this despot will really change much. When revolutions happen, they're seized upon by other despots. My fear is that these protests, if they turn into a revolution of some sort, will just bring the Islamists into power, and then they can start this cycle all over again, except this time, the government can say that Allah is with them and anyone opposing them are heretics.
