  • NewHamOnTheAir go back to C.B. radio you don't need a license to talk there. you can say any dumb crap. get your ticket, get involved, stop acting like a jerk. give me your address the FCC would like to know where you live. If your dad has a license does he know your using his radio. give me your call sign I'll be sure to let them know who you are. free biscuits? did you play the banjo in the movie deliverance? bet you call in false info just to mess with the police. your an idiot.

  • Mr. Cronkite R.I.P. Thank-you for a great story. I got my ticket in 2006 I have talked to hams all over the world. Amateur (ham) radio is the life line when all others fail. we have our own power back up, antenna towers, and resources to keep public service up to speed. we have weather spotters going out in all condition giving info back to the weather service to update the general public on hazardous conditions. they don't want free biscuits just your radio do you have a license to talk.

  • @NewHamOnTheAir hahah

  • I often use my dad's old ham radio to talk to the local cops......they keep asking me for my address but I expect they want to come round for free biscuits.

  • @NewHamOnTheAir LOLOLOLOL...if you where a hunger striker then what means of communication can a man use!!??

  • I am on Beef Radio as I don't like Ham. If you are vegetarian perhaps you might try Carrot Radio...

  • This video inspired me to get my ticket, I serve my country abroad in the Navy but never stopped to think anything awful could ever happen to us in the states (9/11), with everything going on today I wanted to ensure I was prepared to help my family and assist others in need when the time came again...KK4FKS, 73

  • Walter Cronkite explain what ham radio is, and why he is (was) a ham.

  • Amateur Radio will always be ahead of the game ...;-)

    73 !
